On 2 April 2014 pupils, parents, and teachers of the School of European Education Heraklion gathered to protest against the threatened closure of their school. They marched through the city, visited City Hall, where debated presented their case to the Major of Heraklion and Governor of Crete, and then gathered in the Venetian Logia to conclude their protest.
